Summary of Experience: Extensive trial practice before state and federal courts in the areas of complex commercial litigation, civil rights defense of §1983 claims, defense of governmental entities, bodily injury liability, premises liability and insurance coverage disputes. Experience includes:
- First-chair jury trial experience and bench trial experience including defense verdicts in motor vehicle bodily injury, premises liability and property damage cases. First-chair experience in arbitrations involving claims for personal injury and breach of contract. Extensive experience with post-trial motion practice.
- Second-chair jury and bench trial experience in multi-million dollar demand cases including cases with allegations of complex brain injuries; claims involving plaintiff in persistent vegetative state; breach of contract; securities valuation; and fraud claims. Second-chair in multi-million dollar personal injury arbitration that resulted in complete defense verdict for insured driver.
- Extensive experience researching and writing appellate briefs for cases pending in state and federal appellate courts. Extensive experience researching and writing on complex legal issues in and in support of summary judgment motions, motions to dismiss and other dispositive motions.
- Currently responsible for management and litigation of caseload as trial counsel for claims involving personal injury, commercial disputes and civil rights on behalf of governmental entities, insureds and commercial entities.
